2. Next, you set permissions. You can assign neighbors timed access, letting them enter and exit during a designated timeframe, or event-based admittance. To illustrate, if a delivery arrives, the system can unlock the door to allow your neighbor to bring it indoors once it authenticates them.
3. When you’ve set up access, your Google Nest Doorbell with familiar face capability recognizes your neighbor when they approach the door.
4. Your ADT home security will deactivate the alarm and unlock the door when the person is confirmed as an approved visitor.
5. You receive immediate updates as your neighbor comes and goes. The app also offers a complete log. 
6. After the trusted neighbor departs, your smart door lock secures automatically to protect your home.

You are able to authorize access for any person you want, such as a pet sitter, a service technician, or a partner who shows up when you’re away. This feature is also helpful during urgent events, particularly when you’re off site. For example, if a water sensor triggers, your system can grant event-driven access so someone can turn off the water supply. Programming permissions is simple with the intuitive app.
